Cardiff Haul No.3
(All links below)
Oops another haul!! I'll make this short and sweet. My lovely friend Caity came to visit for a few days so of course we took a day out to go shopping in Cardiff. It was a real miserable day so we stuck inside the major shopping centres. I only grabbed a few little bits as I'm saving for a new nail course.

Maybelline Colour Show Review
Maybelline colour show top coat - Boots (£3.99)
So I previously featured this nail design in my shellac post but I wanted to make a separate review. The nail art shown is super easy to create with Maybelline's new colour show range. The shade used is the street artist top coat in alley attitude, however they have a range of colours and top coats available. I really loved this design and kept topping up my shellac for weeks.
The top coat consist of the blue and black shards so I thought I'd add the other products used. I topped up my shellac with Rimmel's nail polish (198 Azure) which was luckily a perfect match. Then I just added one coat of my colour show and finished off with Collection clear varnish. I love nail art and I'm always looking for quick and simple designs. I am a total novice when it comes to nail art so I usually get them done at a salon, so I'm super happy to have found Maybelline's new range.
The varnish itself lasts ages, the shards stayed put rather well but I would recommend adding a top coat just in case. The only problem I had with the top coat was removing it. It was a task to get all the shards off and it needs a good buffer alongside nail varnish remover to get them to budge. Other than the removal I had no problems with the varnish and would highly recommend it.
Once my nails regain strength and I can stop using shellac 24/7 I'm going to stock up on a bunch of Maybelline's top coats. It's going to end up as obsession I bet. All you nail fanatics reading should definitely add this product to your collection soon.

July favourites
If you follow me on instagram you most likely would have seen me asking what posts you want to see more of on my blog. I've made a note all the responses and a few people were keen on a favourites post. This is my first month's favourites and hopefully I'll make it a regular occurrence like my wishlist posts (nearly bought all of July's items eek). It was surprisingly hard to narrow it down this month so it's pretty hefty.
1) Maxi dresses
I recently purchased a couple of maxi dresses and I've been living in my grey t-shirt maxi from H&M. I've never been keen on maxi dresses because I'm really short but H&M do really great lengths. Mine cost £7 and is the most comfortable piece of clothing I own, I just wish they did a better range of colours. I love how easy maxi dresses are to style with a simple statement necklace.
2) Ripped skinny jeans
I am loving the new white trend and I adore my new skinnies. I've never been one to wear white but recently it's taking over my wardrobe starting with these beauties. I love how simple they are and the rips give them a slight edge. Mine are leigh jeans from Topshop so were about £32. I wore them all the time because the heat became overwhelming.
3) Watermelon clutch
You guys know how much I love this fruity trend and my obsession with pineapple and watermelon print so of course my clutch is included. It's super simple to style and is great for a night out. You're all probably sick of seeing it but it's from New look (£9.99) and they do a range of fruity slices.
4)No.7 moisture drench (mulberry)
We all know I'm a Mac girl but I also love No.7. This was a freebie I got when I spent over a certain amount in boots and it's fab. It really hydrates your lips and it's such a subtle colour for the summer. I'm being so lazy with make-up recently so this shade gives my lips a hint of colour.
5) Anna Sui- sui dreams
I've used this perfume for years and it will always be included in my collection. It has a really fresh scent and it such a light fragrance to wear. I think it's really lovely to wear in this hot weather because it's so subtle. Unlike most perfumes it isn't too expensive either.
6)Maybelline super stay nail polish (berry stain)
Since I've stopped having acrylics I've started adding to my nail collection again. I really love this colour and there should be a picture on my instagram. The colour doesn't chip easily either which is fab if you're constantly using your hands.
7)Sally Hensen - miracle nail thickener
I plan to make a review on this item but I had to add it to my favourites. It has saved my nails since I've had my acrylics removed and now they are back to health. It's slightly pricey (£9.99) but worth every penny.
8) Floral kimono
I am slowly falling in love with the kimono trend. I really need to purchase more because I am constantly wearing my floral purchase from New look. I mainly style it with monochrome outfits to give the dash of colour or with an all white outfit.
If any of these are in your favourites too, please comment below so I can check out your posts. If you have any feedback of posts you particularly want to see feel free to let me know.
