Personal Update & Models Needed || Lifestyle

Hey guys, so I'm back for today!! Yes just today. I've been the worst blogger for the past few months so I've taken a break. I have no excuse to give other than blogging just wasn't a focus for me. I had too many other priorities to shoot and post. As of the new year I'm going to regroup, re-plan my shoots and get back to the blogger hype. 

However I've got some fab news for you lovely lot, as you know I've been doing a level two qualification in hair. As of today I have passed two practical units and two theory tests so I'm actually rather proud. I'm working on clients already!! If you live local and would like an appointment, I'll be booking in for Tuesdays 9am, Wednesday 2pm and Thursday 12pm. I can currently do the conditioning treatments, blow-dries, basic cuts and I'll be moving onto colour very soon. I'm booking in for january onwards so get in contact via email. I'd really appreciate any help :)  

I'm going to leave you lot to enjoy your Christmas and I'll see you in January. Thank you for the continued support on all my social media platforms and blog.

OOTN || Monochrome Culottes

Back over my birthday period Kane treated me to this gorgeous jumpsuit. River Island always have beautiful jumpsuits but at the time this was my favourite. Can't resist a good culotte piece.

Taking A Break? || Lifestyle

I was going to make a post solely on my social media experience and the harsh realities but I may touch upon that at a later date. For now I wanted to have a mini rant about why I've changed my patterns. Have I really given myself a break or is my version of a "break" totally pointless in reality??

Stressed But Well Dressed || Mental Health Experience

Why do you feel this way? That's the biggest question I get regarding my disorder, but I can never put my finger on it. People always assume you had a significant event in your past to make you different. It's as if being "depressed" has to have a cause. But I haven't had a terrible past. I truly didn't, nothing too bad really happened to me. For sure I had blips or embarrassing teenage moments but nothing that could suddenly bring on my disorder. It turns out that having a mental health disorder doesn't need a cause, sometimes it's just part of who you are. It takes a lot to come to terms with that and trust me even now I wish I could edit my brain to not have this disorder, but it's who I am!!

It was my birthday last month and my girls decided to come down for a night out so I decided to treat myself. I couldn't resist this mesh dress and turns out it honestly is one of my favourite items now!! Of course I went for the all black look!!

Now Halloween is over it's time to start planning for Christmas. It's way to early but this festive period is unbelievably hectic. I have too many people to organise for this year but I'm excited. I thought I'd put together a little wishlist for myself for winter/Christmas. Hopefully can treat myself once in a while!!! I am in desperate need of a stacker ring to go with my emerald beauty so I am going to have to give Kane a list of them and let him pick me one eek!! How gorgeous is this teal jacket couldn't resist and of course the Jeffrey Campbell's are far-fetched but who could resist these Halloween goodies!!

Yesterday me and Simeon (from college) travelled all the way to London to visit Salon International. It's basically a huge hairdressing event and was such a fabulous experience. I have absolutely no idea if my readers have interest in hair but we all love a good haul so why not?

Life Update || My College Experience

My first month of college is up today and it's safe to say it's been crazy. I've gone from a week of induction to getting really stuck in to learning. We've actually done quite a lot in our practicals so I have a few bits to share. I just thought I'd share my experience. Going back to college at 22 is not something I imagined myself doing but I love learning new skills and I've been wanting to learn hair for a hella long time.

I've not always been a huge orange fan but I feel in love with this dress when I saw it. I couldn't resist the earthy tones. It really makes a statement in my opinion!!

Oopps another Sighh designs review!! To be fair; Polly constantly keeps bringing out new items which deserve a mini review. In this case is her handy tote bag she designed. I wanted to not only show off the bag but show how spacey they are. I currently use mine for college, so yes I pack all this in!!

College has taken over my life so I haven't been posting as much but I decided this week to do a weekend of posts so I hope you enjoy!! I wore this outfit for one of my London days out in summer and I love it. I'm all for this denim skirt trend!!

The Harsh Reality Of Blogging!!

I've been meaning to write this post for a while, mainly because I've experienced a few things that have put me off blogging recently. Don't worry I don't aim to bore you!! I'm also not aiming this post at anyone or claiming to know everything. I just want to share my experience, even if it helps one or two people at most.

OOTD || Stripes & Skirts

I couldn't resist sharing this outfit from my most recent shoot. Sometimes when you just pick out a few items you end up creating a better outfit than if you had planned it. I love the contrasting colours. The touch of grey bring the monochrome look together.

OOTN || Tassel Heaven

Oops I kind of ditched my blog slightly. I promise it's for a good reason. I travelled to surprise my friend for her 21st last weekend so I've been a little busy on catching up. Any how this is what I wore for the celebrations. I luckily bought this from Sammi-Jackson a fellow blogger. It fits me down to a tee!!

I don't usually have time to spend on doing my own nails, so went I get the chance I make the most of it. My current mani is this cute glitter chevron design!! It was surprisingly simple to create so I thought I'd share. You can easily purchase chevrons online or create your own. 

OOTD || Ripped Details

I previously posted an outfit featuring this Missguided split top, but I have to admit I pretty much lived in it when I first purchased. It's so diverse and comfortable!! I can't resist bunging it on over a pair of leggings or jeans when I was in a rush so I thought I'd share this alternative outfit.

Mumbles Pier || Visit Wales

If you haven't noticed, I created a visit Wales tab on my blog. As I've moved from Surrey to Wales, I know how hard it is to plan days out in a foreign place. Kane is rubbish at planning anything so I've been doing a lot of it myself. I thought I should share these beautiful places. If you're popping to Wales for a weekend or living here, hopefully this will give you a few ideas or places to go. 

To begin with I decided to go with somewhere very simple; Mumbles Pier. Mumbles is a town along Swansea bay and has lots of things to do. Because it's along the sea line of course it has a pier and an arcade. This post is mainly focused on that side of Mumbles. 

My Blog Process

 

I know I've been blogging for quite a while now, so I probably won't be considered a newbie blogger, but I still feel like one. I'm still blogging for me and I haven't moved forward to turn my blog into a business. It's a personal choice of course but I'm also slightly put off by the blogging community. There's a lot to get your head around such as your own domain, your DA , GA and blogger networks. But don't worry this post won't be about that heavy side of blogging. I've been blogging for a year or so and even I am not quite ready for that technical jargon. However I wanted to make a post to explain my blog process!! I want newbie bloggers to be able to read posts that help them get started rather than throwing jargon around they don't really need to know about. Just remember blogging is meant to be enjoyable. You start blogging for yourself!!! Find your voice and build your basic skill before worrying about monetising your blog!! Find you and your preferred content!!

OOTD || Fishnet Focus

My blog has been a bit sketchy recently, I haven't really start to my schedule. I apologise but I'm also feeling a bit lost when it comes to blogging. I think joining too many groups has thrown me. I'm not enjoying the blogging community so I've kinda drifted a little from my own blog. However I'm back with a new outfit. It's super simple but I love the contrasting textures.

Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty Exhibit

Today I'm sharing a little snippet of what I got up to in London last month. This was by far my favourite event we visited and was so worth the early start. If you are a fashion lover I'm sure you've heard of Alexander Mcqueen and adore his work. Until the 2nd of August, the V&A museum are hosting a gallery event featuring his collections. There is so much to see and explore!! If you adore fashion, especially avant-garde designers this is an exhibit you have to see. Don't worry if the tickets are sold out, you can queue on the day to bag yourself one of the two hundred available!!

This review has been a long time coming, but I wanted to use these brushes in my routine for a while before sharing my views. No one can deny how beautiful this set is but it also has to be useful!! Luckily in this case you're definitely getting your money's worth.

Top Picks || Miss Selfridge

Miss Selfridge has always been one of my favourite store to buy dresses. I love their size range and they do cater for everyone. I couldn't help sharing my favourites. I know they're quite similar but they are definitely what I would pick out. A few are even in the sale too. I really love the white mesh, even though white is a risky choice and the frilled mini. I like the detailing, and the simplicity. The other strappy mini has a intricate detail on the back which is lovely but I'm not always one for open backs. I couldn't choose between the bag colours hence the inclusion of both. I would recommend popping in store to try any item on before buying since the sizes can vary soo much. I may have to treat myself later on in the month!!

Summer Wishlist

I haven't been making many wishlist posts because I'm too poor to shop!! As if that stops me though (oops!!). I thought I'd do an overall summer wishlist rather than a monthly set because it's more reachable. Plus the SS15 trends are amazing. I'm loving each and every one equally so this throws a bunch together. Okay as for the hair-dye it's probably a no go but I get so bored and I'm debating a huge change once again. The two items that really pop on this list are the chain link maxi which will definitely be much next purchase. It's just super amazing. You can throw it over so many basics and look sleek as hell. I also love the crochet dress but I have seen it every where and I'd rather stand out then blend in. I'm loving the denim trend and really want a cute pinafore dress, I really snagged a mini dress and love it. As for the grey theme going on, I can't deny it's my favourite colour and I'm loving the sleeveless trend. I wish topshop was more affordable, even their joni jean range has gone up and it puts me off purchasing. I've also had my eye on some public desire lace up heels but you can't add their items to polyvore hence the exclusion.

Taste of London food festival

Last week me and Kane made many trips into London but one of our favourites was the London food festival held in Regent's park. I've never been a foodie but considering I'm dating a chef, a visit was in order. I wanted to share a few items we tried and a bunch of images. Don't worry it's a photo heavy post for once.

Inamo || Soho's Hidden Gem

I'm back in England which is lovely but also hectic and I thought it's a perfect time to share a few of my experiences with you guys. On Thursday I had an amazing day visiting the taste of London food festival (keep an eye out next week for the blog post) and dining at Inamo. 

Inamo is a Asian fusion restaurant in the heart of Soho that has a fabulous interactive ordering system (see below). They serve a range of dishes influenced by Japan, China, Thailand, Korea and more. It's definitely a restaurant you need to visit at least once to experience their take on fine dining.

Fringe overload!! I am loving the fringe trend and I know it's perfect timed for festival season but that doesn't mean you have to be a festival-goer to pull it off. Fringing is my favourite summer trend right now and this playsuit is beautiful!!

Back in my early teens, I received a set of tiny perfumes including this beautiful scent. Being so young perfume wasn't a big deal for me and out of the set this was the only one I was keen on. Since then this has been my everyday go to perfume. It's forever in my handbag, and considering I have about 15 new perfumes I just can't resist this scent!!

My Mac Collection!!

So over the years I've been growing my Mac collection; from a lonely lipstick to varied products. I'm not one to over spend but sometimes it's nice to splash out on good quality products, knowing you'll get your money's worth. This post isn't to push you to go out and spend spend spend, but Mac collections are frequently requested and I think I finally have a collection worth making a post. I'm pretty happy with all my products and as of recent have been purchasing from newer brands so haven't been to focused on Mac!!
